
Our client in the Solar System Management (Energy Sector ) is seeking to employ a very good, dynamic, and strong individual to be employed as the General Manager to oversee the general operations of the business, covering Technical, Managerial and Personal abilities of both Capital and Human Resources to achieve the organization objective through strategic management of the business.
JOB TITLE: GENERAL MANAGER
REPORT TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the day-to-day operations, perfectly executing projects and activities across all departments of the company.
- Monitor the operational team for installation, management, and maintenance of systems /machines.
- Develop strategic plans that bring growth in all aspects of the company.
- Ensure adherence to industry specifications, standardization as may be recommended by regulators.
- Develop competitive edge strategies that compete and help to gain more clients from competitors.
- Develop specific strategies that support each department of the company to achieve set targets.
- Develop specific strategies that support every department of the company to achieve set targets.
- Ensure team members are periodically trained to enhance skills, up-to-date on company processes, industry standards and safety precautions.
- Serve as a liaison between the client and operational gaps, giving support and guidance.
- Oversee procurement issues, ensuring materials and services are sourced and delivered according to set standards.
- Oversee departmental and project budgets, ensuring judicious utilization of available funds and other resources for the achievement of set targets.
- Keep track of financial operations by controlling costs and ensuring value for money.
- Collaborate with the Technical Team to ensure client expectations are met.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Ability to understand the Solar Management System
- Ability to diagnose the system and discover Challenges, and provide necessary solutions to resolve the problem.
- Ability to manage/service hybrid power.
- Must possess the ability to train team members and recommend the necessary external training.
MANAGERIAL SKILLS
- Excellent problem-solving abilities that yielded in expected results.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
- Ability to make strategic decisions by thinking thoroughly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
PERSONAL SKILLS
Ability to work in a noisy environment and achieve expected results.
Ability to stay in good harmony with all manners of people
Ability to convince customers of products or services to make sales
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Project Management, or any related field.
- A master’s degree or professional certification in the required field will be an added advantage.
- Proven Developmental training (hands–on) on the practicality of the profession.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 7 – 10 years of practical experience operating Solar and other power management systems.
- Proven leadership role of managing teams to achieve set targets.
- Knowledge of solar energy and related energy systems, installation processes and practices, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
SALARY:
Attractive, however, shall be determined by the experience and qualifications of the qualified candidate.
